There are myths in which if you’re an owner of a cat, you most likely spend your time in solitude and are very independent and mysterious. If you own a dog, you’re outgoing, loyal, and sportive. I, myself love dogs (hence Doggy Blurb
) plus, I’m allergic to cats, but they’re still adorable. I wanted to show a versus to help you decide which pet is better for you. Or, if you love both, get both! Just watch out for temperaments.
(I’ll try to be as unbiased as possible)
-Known as man’s best friend since…forever! These fuzzy creatures are playful, loyal and lovable. Here’s a story where a family lost their dog Ewok and he came back seven years later! Luck or smarts? You decide. In the meantime, check out Ewok’s 7 year journey.
-If you were stuck in the wild, I’m sure Fido would run for help and find someone and come back.
-If you love going outdoors and going on wild family vacations, dogs are for you. They love traveling as your companion and will always be loyal. They love adventure and will go with you to learn what else is out there, whether it’s fishing, or a butterfly in the forest.
-They can fetch, bring your newspaper, be a guard dog, police dog, and they are even trained to help the disabled.
-You can train them, some more difficult than others, and they love treats (especially fruits and meat). When you’re bored during the night, they’ll wake up and play with you and when you’re sad, they’ll watch you and sit next to you to comfort you.
-They get along great with children (depending on how the dog is trained however).
-Dogs will die for you (ex: police raid) not because you ask them to, but because they love you, and that’s their doggly instincts.
-Known to be independent, they love to cuddle with their owner and only protect their owner if they believe it’s necessary and trust their owner.
-They will not show you respect and love if you don’t show them the same.
-They hate water, but they clean themselves, so there is no real need for a shower. They even bury their own feces in their kitty litter.
-They kill mice and birds and like to toy on them.
-There is a study that suggests that cats have independent personalities, like us humans.
-They don’t need so much attention as dogs do. They can be left alone as long as there is fresh water and food, but they have mood swings and may want attention one minute and want to be left alone the next minute.
-They claw furniture, yet claws are their backbone. Declawing really shouldn’t be an option because it’s animal cruelty in my opinion.
-They will not eat something that they don’t like, and are very specific.
-Very rarely can you train a cat because they have their own minds and more sects of emotions than dogs do.
-They are more prone to fight about territory with your other house cats: Meow!

You! Why? Because you choose to have one or the other, or even both! It all depends on the person and what their likings are. So what do you think? Are you more of a cat or dog person? Either is great
