Thirty-six dogs were taken into Dog Days in Greensboro after an elderly woman couldn’t take care of them anymore. This isn’t an animal cruelty abuse though. The former breeder had to ask for a helping hand help because her husband suffered a heart attack.

Dog Days in Greensboro volunteer Robin Manley told News 14,
“So this woman with a 100-acre farm, a husband with 24-hour care, 36 dogs and on social security was managing to take care of these dogs for a year before she said, ‘I can’t. I need help.’”
Manley also confirmed that the dogs were in good condition and AKC certified, so many of them are quickly finding new homes.
Currently, there are about 16 dogs who still need homes. If the remaining dogs aren’t adopted, Manley has already planned to house them until they find a permanent home.
If you’d like to adopt a Jack Russell terrier, please call Robin Manley at 336-414-1373. Serious adopters ONLY. The adoption fee is $150 (shots, spay/neuter, and microchipping included).
