Martha Stewart Partners With Age Group Ltd. To Sell Pet Products Exclusively To PetSmart

Martha Stewart’s company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia has announced today that they have will partner with Age Group Ltd. to create and sell pet products. The pet products will be sold exclusively through PetSmart, Inc. Currently, the two companies are working on pet accessories like apparel, collars, leashes, beds, toys, and grooming supplies.

In March 2009, Stewart’s team created a a blog for her two French Bulldogs, Francesca and Sharkey, called “The Daily Wag.”

Stewart said in a press release,

“I have always loved having a lot of pets – dogs, cats and birds, and consider them members of my family. It is very important to me that domestic animals be well fed, well groomed and well cared for, and I have always prided myself on the good health and happiness of my pets. I look forward to working with Age Group and PetSmart to provide other pet owners with the types of Martha Stewart-designed products that will keep pets happy, safe and healthy.”

Matt McAdam, PetSmart’s Vice President of Merchandising, said,

“We’re bringing two world class brands together under one roof. By being the only pet specialty retailer to offer Martha Stewart’s pet products, we’re giving our pet parents yet one more reason to shop our stores to find the unique solutions they want and need to keep their pets healthy and happy.”

Stewart has also been awarded with the ASPCA Presidential Service Award this year.

The new products are scheduled to be released during the second quarter of 2010.
