Last week, Stephen Colbert el dos won week 8 of the All American Pet Brand’s Cutest Dog Competition, but Mozart, MoMo, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel gave him a run for his money! MoMo has won week 9 and by a large margin. MoMo’s competitor, Lucy, a Super Pound Puppy, needed over 2,000 votes to pass and win Mozart’s spot.
MoMo is now a semi-finalist and has won $500. This is a small earning, however. MoMo’s owner, Cara McCool already has plans to donate portions of the $1 million to local charities in New Orleans.
Some of the charities include the LA/SPCA, the Louisiana Music Teachers Association’s “Save Our Students” scholarship fund, the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans, Teach for America, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Rescue.
McCool is grateful for all the votes and hopes she continues to get more support so she can win and help her city.
This is a 12 week competition. There’s still three weeks left. The Cutest Dog Competition winner will be announced on Thanksgiving Day.
