Remember “Marley & Me?” Well, Owen Wilson is taking another role, but this time he’ll play the dog! Wilson has been casted as the voice of Marmaduke, a Great Dane, in an upcoming CGI Fox film, which is an adaptation to the 55-year-old Marmaduke comic series, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The movie will portray a family named the Winslows who move from Kansas to Orange County with their pooch, Marmaduke, who never spoke in the comics.
Marmaduke seems to find trouble wherever he goes and with whatever he does.
Other cast members who lent their voice for the film are Judy Greer, Lee Pace and William H. Macy who play the humans, as well as Fergie, Emma Stone, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, and Damon Wayans, Marlon Wayans.
The movie, directed by Tom Dey is set to release in June 2010.
